Record Clamp

A transparent record clamp that holds your LPs down tight to the platter for the ultimate listening experience.

Each clamp is hand finished to a very high standard using a mixture of CNC and manual machining techniques.

We have designed and manufactured all parts of this record clamp in house for the ultimate quality and control.

The first run of these clamps will be completely transparent so you can clearly see the record label when in use. This has taken a huge amount of time and effort to accomplish but we think it’s been worthwhile.

A novel design change to a proven concept.

This type of record clamp has been proven  to hold down your records exceptionally well and now you have a completely clear view of the record label too.

Small batches

We always make in small batches of 10 or 20 for ultimate quality control.

Unique Identity

Each clamp will be engraved with the Bool Audio name and its serial number.

Suitable for all

Designed to work with a vast range of turntables and types of platter mat.

Instructions for use..

The Bool Audio record clamp can be used on all types of records with or without the included spacer.   The use of the included acetal spacer is to allow some preload to the record so it becomes physically connected to the platter as if its being held down by a vacuum.

The use of the spacer can also be a huge benefit if you have a slightly warped record,  sometimes if the record is very warped its not possible to completely solve the warping but 9 times of 10 its a huge improvement.

Its very simple to use the clamp with the included  preload spacer just place the spacer over the turntable spindle before putting the record on to the platter.  Once you have done this you can place the clamp on as you normally would and press down to preload the record before tightening the aluminium knob.

Maintenance and care..

There really is not much that can go wrong with the record clamp but one very important thing to remember is to never tighten the clamp without it being on a turntable spindle.

Because of the very tight tolerances in this clamp tightening it without being installed on a turntable will bend the collet out of shape causing it to be a tight fit on the spindle making it hard to use.

You can use a soft microfiber cloth to clean the acrylic body of the record clamp just make sure its clean otherwise you may scratch the hand finished surface.

It is also recommended to keep the record clamp in its box when not in use to protect its highly polished surface from knocks and scratches.
