Clear Wave Tonearm Cables

"The Clear Wave 2.0 tonearm cable  has been constructed with the excellent Gotham Audio GAC-2 double flat balanced cable featuring their double Reussen shielding"

Clear Wave 2.0

Introducing the Clear Wave 2.0 Tonearm Cable,

We wanted to offer a fully shielded cable with all the adornments you would expect from a high-quality phono cable and make it all ourselves in-house here at Bool Audio.

This new version of the Linn mount tonearm cable we are offering has been redesigned from the ground up to allow for better channel separation and noise suppression; it works exceptionally well with moving coil and moving magnet cartridges alike.

The new cable has been designed around the Gotham Audio GAC-2 Pair flat, double-reussen shielded flex cable and AECO gold-plated tellurium copper RCA receptacles. Everything else, minus the gold-plated pins in the DIN plug, was all made in-house here at Bool Audio in the UK.

The cable has been made with the same topology as the original in that the shield is only connected to the ground connections at each end.

**Compatible with all Linn tonearms**

**Possible clearance issue on shallow early plinths fitted with a trampoline.**

High quality connections, gold plated copper RCA terminals

PEEK cable splitter to allow for a clean and reliable ground wire

AECO RCA receptacles with our PEEK bodies

Gold plated connectors on both the DIN and RCA

The Clear Wave tonearm cable   "Black Edition"

Made in the UK here at Bool Audio

The Clear Wave Original tonearm cable has been designed from the ground up with the LP12's suspended sub-chassis in mind. Minimising vibration is a primary goal in optimising the sonic performance of all LP12s. It is clear the LP12 suspension should be able to operate without any interference from the arm cable. It is also clear that the cable is the last component to affect the music signal in its journey from the record groove to the phono stage. For both these reasons the type and routing of the tonearm cable is a critical step in setting up an LP12 correctly. This is why we wanted our cable to be very easy to install and dress with the 'P Clip'. Many tonearm cables are stiff and larger in diameter - these can be difficult to work with and route in a way that avoids contact with the sub-chassis and baseboard. Designing our cable around the ultra-flexible Belden star quad cable provides flexibility without compromising performance. The cable performs very well with both moving coil and moving magnet cartridges.

The aluminium 5-pin DIN connector is made in-house here at Bool Audio. It has been designed to fit the Belden cable perfectly, ensuring a high-quality termination.  For the RCA connectors we have used the reliable and high-quality Switchcraft 3502A with gold-plated contacts and black shell. We have added left and right (white/red) channel indicators.

The cable boots going into the RCA connectors have been shielded with silver-plated copper braid connected to the ground plane. The use of silver-plated copper and PTFE insulated ground cables provides greater durability and sonic performance.

To maintain the quality of the phono connection and minimize the risk of interference, the cable employs a separate shielded ground wire topology. This design effectively isolates all signal wires from the ground plane, reducing the likelihood of crosstalk between them.
